ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — Nick Jensen scored two goals at St. Cloud State beat Denver 5-2 on Friday to knock the Pioneers out of first place in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

Denver’s loss, combined with Minnesota’s 5-1 win over North Dakota, left Denver in second place behind the Gophers.

Ethan Prow and Kalle Kossila had two assists apiece for the Huskies (13-10-0, 9-5-0), who climbed into a tie for second place in the conference race. Eleven different St. Cloud State players had at least one point and goalie Ryan Faragher made 23 saves.

Zac Larraza and Nick Shore scored goals for Denver (13-7-4, 8-5-4), which had a five-game unbeaten streak snapped.

Denver goalie Juho Olkinuora made 33 saves.
