The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night on the 494 on-ramp at Interstate 35W.
Authorities say alcohol is suspected in the crash. The driver who hit the two squads, 39-year-old Maurice Blevins, was arrested Saturday night for criminal vehicular operation.READ MORE: Lions Beat Vikings 29-27 For 1st Win Of Season
Two state patrol vehicles were on scene with their lights flashing for a separate crash. According to the police report, Blevins sideswiped one squad car and then rear-ended a second state patrol vehicle.
The trooper whose vehicle was rear-ended went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The trooper whose vehicle was sideswiped walked away with no injuries.
