Elk River Police: Help Us Locate Missing Teenage Girl

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police are asking for the public's help in locating an Elk River teen who hasn't been seen since Feb. 11, and who may be with an unidentified person she had met online.

The Elk River Police Department said Johannah Mary Thomsen was reported as a runaway by her family on Feb. 12. However, police say within the past two weeks, family and friends report receiving electronic communications from who they believe is Thomsen.

Police say their information doesn't make them believe Thomsen is in imminent danger, but authorities do want to speak with her to confirm she's OK.

Thomsen is a white female, 5-feet-2-inches tall and 110 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde hair. Police say she frequently changes her hair color, however.

If you have any information of Thomsen's whereabouts, call the Elk River Police Department at 763-635-1200.
