2 Arrested After Worker Interrupts Burglary

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two people were arrested late Saturday night in St. Cloud, Minn. after a worker found them inside a business, allegedly attempting to steal thousands of dollars worth of copper wire.

Police say 30-year-old Nathan Leigh Johnson, of Robbinsdale, and 38-year-old Todd Michael Fryman, of Coon Rapids, were arrested after being caught inside Design Electric around 9:46 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities say the men were trying to steal approximately $3,000 to $4,000 worth of copper wire.

Police were called to the scene by a worker from Design Electric who saw the men inside the building without permission.

Both men fled the scene prior to police arrival. Johnson was located by a Waite Park Police K9 on the 4000 block of Clearwater Road and Fryman was later located with the assistance of the Minnesota State Patrol helicopter.

Both are being held in the Stearns County Jail.
