ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- A mother got a chance to say thank you Tuesday to the people who saved her daughter from a fire.

Daphine Scott, 17, was pulled from her family's burning home in St. Paul on Jan.31. She just recently was able to go home after a hospital stay and rehab at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare.

On Tuesday, her mother, Janella Scott, was able to say thanks to the firefighters and medical personnel involved in her daughter's rescue and recovery.

"I'm just so grateful that I have my daughter today thanks to all these wonderful people they are my guardian angels," she said.

Janella Scott gave each of her daughter's rescuers a plaque to express their family's gratitude.
