Man Shot Dead In North Mpls. Identified

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man who died after being shot in the head in north Minneapolis Tuesday afternoon has been identified.

Police officers responded to a shooting on the 1000 block of Humboldt Avenue North at 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday. The 911 caller said that a person was shot and lying in the street.

Responders found the man dead of his injuries at the scene. On Friday, the medical examiner released the identity of the victim. He was 34-year-old Tommy Bardney.

Police are still investigating the incident. Anyone with information about the case was asked to call the tip line at 612-692-8477.
