Dayton Proclaims Day For Gopher Women's Hockey

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO)MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Governor Mark Dayton honored the University of Minnesota Women's hockey team Monday for their remarkable season. The ladies ended the year as undefeated national champions.

Dayton presented the team with a proclamation at Ridder Arena, making Monday 'Gopher Women's Hockey National Champions Day.'

"B.U., you really clobbered, and you clobbered most of you opponents all year long, and also you've just been fantastic representatives of the University of Minnesota and our state," Dayton said.

As a thank you, the Gopher women gave Gov. Dayton one of their jerseys.
