2 Semis Collide Head-On Near Hamel; Traffic Closed On Hwy 55
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Highway 55 is closed in both directions near Hamel after two semis collided Tuesday morning, according to authorities.
According to our Sky 4 helicopter footage, it appears the two semis collided head-on on Highway 55 at Willow Drive.
Hennepin County authorities say one of the drivers had a medical issue before the accident.
Now, Highway 55 is closed between County Roads 9 and 101.
