Minn. Supreme Court Convenes At Roseville High

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments at Roseville Area High School this week, as part of its effort to promote understanding of the judiciary.

The Supreme Court convenes in Minnesota schools twice a year. Monday's session will feature oral arguments of a real case, followed by a question-and-answer session, lunch and classroom visits.

This is the 37th time justices have heard oral arguments at a school. More than 600 students will participate.

Monday's arguments will be in an open records case that examines whether private contractors who do government work are required to provide information under the data practices act. Ely-based Timberjay newspaper group is seeking data about contracts for a construction project in the St. Louis County School District.
