MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials announced Wednesday that the Gopher men’s basketball team will host Florida State in early December as part of the Big 10/ACC Challenge.

It’s the second straight time and ninth overall that the two teams will face each other. Last year, the Gophers beat the Seminoles 77-69 in Tallahassee. This will be their fourth match-up as part of the Big 10/ACC Challenge.

Minnesota is 6-8 in the event after having won two straight games.

The Gophers will return three of their top five scorers in Andre Hollins (14.6 points per game), Austin Hollins (10.7 points per game) and Joe Coleman (8.7 points per game) from a team that won 21 games and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Gophers will host Florida State on Tuesday, Dec.3, at Williams Arena at a time to be determined. All Big 10/ACC Challenge games are televised on the ESPN family of networks.
