Police: Wis. Man Drove Drunk With Child, 11, In Car

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a 38-year-old man from Barronett, Wis., was arrested Sunday by the Wisconsin State Patrol for driving drunk with a child in his car.

The Wisconsin State Patrol said Isaac O Neitzel was stopped for a traffic violation at about 9:13 p.m. Sunday on Highway 8 near 220th Street in Polk County, then arrested for operating while under the influence with a child in the car. A review of Neitzel's record showed it was his first offense.

He was taken to the St. Croix Falls Hospital for a blood test to determine his blood alcohol level at the time of the arrest. Details of that have not been released, and the child was released to its grandfather.

The incident is still under investigation by  the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
