Local Music Tap: Electric Fetus Celebrates 45th Anniversary
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The landmark Minneapolis record store, the Electric Fetus, is celebrating its 45th anniversary with an "extra large party," which includes some musical performances and some good deals.
Starting at 5 p.m. Monday, customers can receive a limited Charlie Parr/Dosh 45 rpm single free with qualifying $20 purchase.
Charlie Parr recorded a new track especially for the 45th anniversary, which was remixed by Dosh for the flip side. There are only 500 copies available.
Musical performances begin at 6 p.m. with Crimes, Strange Names at 7 p.m. and Lucy Michelle at 8 p.m.
Other features on the event include Natedogs and Hola Arepa food trucks on site and register-to-win prizes, including a First Avenue Gold Membership or a prize package of CD box sets from the 1960s through the 2010s.
