3-Year-Old Who Drowned In Nisswa Lake Identified

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The 3-year-old Nisswa boy who drowned in Edna Lake has been identified.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office was called at about 6:25 p.m. Monday on a report of an unresponsive 3-year-old boy who was found in Lake Edna in Nisswa. When authorities arrived, the boy had been found near the shoreline by his family.

Emergency crews attempted to revive the boy, but they were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has been identified Linden Halverson.

Authorities said it's still under investigation how Halverson ended up in the water, but they do not suspect foul play at this point.
