Stillwater Life Bridge Now Open To Car, Boat Traffic

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Stillwater Lift Bridge has opened to both car and boat traffic sooner than expected, the Department of Transportation announced Wednesday.

The bridge resumed its normal lift schedule at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The bridge was closed to both car and water traffic that afternoon so crews could fix a cable that snapped Sunday evening.

Initially, MnDOT said the bridge could have been closed to boat traffic for the entire week.
