Motorcyclist Dies In Lakeville Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 26-year-old Claremont, Minn. man died after colliding with a vehicle in Lakeville Saturday, according to police.
Police say the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Cedar Avenue when a vehicle on 202nd Street made a left hand turn directly in the path of the motorcycle. The motorcyclist attempted to stop, but crashed into the rear of the vehicle.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle, struck the vehicle and the pavement.
Life-saving measures were attempted on the victim, but they were unsuccessful.
The victim has been identified as James Alan Batten II.
The crash remains under investigation.
