APPLE VALLEY, Minn. (WCCO) — Authorities say that an Apple Valley Police officer was involved in a three-car collision that resulted in injuries.

According to the city, the crash happened just after noon at 140th Street and Galaxie Avenue on Wednesday

The officer was on duty and driving a patrol vehicle when it became involved in the three-vehicle accident.

It was not immediately clear who caused the crash.

Both the officer and the driver of another vehicle were taken from the scene by ambulance for treatment and evaluation. Neither had life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The third vehicle’s occupants did not appear to have any injuries.
