Burnsville Police Investigate Serial Burglaries

BURNSVILLE, Minn. (WCCO) – Burnsville Police are investigating ten burglaries in the southeast part of the city within the last couple months.

According to Burnsville Police Chief Eric Gieseke, the burglaries occurred between May 21 and June 26.

The suspect or suspects usually strike during daytime hours. They knock on the front door or ring the doorbell of a residence, and if no one comes to the door, they force their way inside.

Police are on the lookout for a red, 1990s Chevrolet Blazer with three strips of duct tape on the rear of the SUV. The license plate is currently unknown.

Chief Gieseke urges residents to call police if someone knocks on their doors without a legitimate reason to be there.

If you have any information on these burglaries, please call Burnsville Police Investigator Patrick Gilligan at 952-895-4690.
