Brooklyn Park Man Charged With Soliciting Teenage Prostitute

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Brooklyn Park man is charged with one count of prostitution involving a 16-year-old who was pulled in to prostitution by a fellow Hopkins High School cheerleader.

According to the Hennepin County Attorney's office, 27-year-old Oladipupo Ademola Legunsen is accused of soliciting sex from a high school sophomore on March 6, which he saw posted in an ad on Backpages.com.

The victim was allegedly coerced by 18-year-old Montia Marie Parker of Maple Grove, who knew the victim from the cheerleading team at Hopkins High, where she was a senior.

The 16-year-old victim may have been targeted due to her what mother described to officers as a "developmental cognitive delay."

After an FBI investigation, Parker was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree felony sex trafficking, and one count of felony solicitation, inducement and promotion of prostitution.

Legunsen confessed to police on June 17 that he answered Parker's ad on Backpage.com, but he denied soliciting the teenager for sex.

Instead, Legunsen says he responded to the ad only for "companionship."

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
