Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is dead and another is hurt after a late night shooting in Minneapolis, according to police.

Authorities were called to the 3600 block of Columbus Avenue South at about 11:15 p.m. Monday on a report of a shooting. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found two victims. One was an adult male who was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other was another adult male who was suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Police said that victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment. Authorities said nobody is in custody in connection with the incident and they are looking for suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call Minneapolis Police at (612) 692-8477. The name of the man killed has not been released and the incident is under investigation.
