ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Minnesota Twins left-handed reliever Caleb Thielbar will go on the bereavement list Thursday following the death of his grandmother.

The team announced the news before Tuesday night’s game against Tampa Bay.

Thielbar will rejoin the team this weekend and be eligible to pitch on Sunday against the New York Yankees.

Right-hander Michael Tonkin will be recalled from Triple-A Rochester to take Thielbar’s roster spot.
