Police: St. Paul Shooting Leaves Man, 18, Dead

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An 18-year-old man died at Regions Hospital Thursday night after being shot in St. Paul, police say.

The St. Paul Watch Commander said the shooting happened just after 9:51 p.m. near the intersection of Payne and Lawson avenues.

When officers got to the scene, they found the man with a gunshot wound. Crews brought him to Regions Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim's name has not been released.

A fight was reported prior to the shooting, police say.

No is in custody, and no suspect description was given.

The shooting is under investigation.
