Police: Crash In Carlton Co. Kills 1, Injures Another

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A two-car crash in Carlton County Friday afternoon left one person dead and sent another to the hospital, authorities say.

The county sheriff's office says the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of County Road 4 and County Road 5 in Blackhoof Township.

When crews arrived at the scene, they pronounced 44-year-old Todd Richard Nelson dead at the scene. Nelson was from Carlton.

The other driver, 42-year-old Randall Fred Palmi of Barnum, was brought to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
