Fierce 'Mahomies' Flock To MOA To See Boy 'Better Than Bieber'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- You may not know Austin Mahone, but young girls sure do.
He's the next Justin Bieber in more ways than one.
Mahone was discovered on YouTube, just like "the Beebs," and on Tuesday he made the girls swoon at the Mall of America.
In fact, they started lining up at 7:00 p.m. Monday just to get close to the latest teen heartthrob.
"He's hot, and he has good music," said one of his young fans, who call themselves "Mahomies."
He's been called the next Bieber. But these fans beg to differ.
"He's better than Bieber," said one. "Everything about him is better," said another.
They patiently waited through a set by girl band Cimorelli, highlighted by a sing-along Mahone song, and then the main attraction took the stage.
Judging by the noise and the tears, he definitely delivered.
The "Mahomies" were nominated as "fiercest fans" at this year's Radio Disney Music Awards. After watching those girls at the mall Tuesday, it's not hard to see why.
