1 Dead After Scooter, Car Collide In Red Wing
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One person is dead after colliding with a vehicle on Highway 61 in Red Wing, Minn., according to authorities.
The Minnesota State Patrol said the accident happened around 6 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Highway 61 and Hill Street.
A man driving a 2005 Chevy Malibu was turning left on Highway 61 when he collided with a person driving a 2007 Schwinn moped scooter who was traveling eastbound on the highway.
Red Wing police, ambulance and fire assisted at the scene.
The person on the moped died from their injuries.
The crash continues to be investigated.
