Vikes Stay On Progress Track With Smooth Offseason
MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — For the Minnesota Vikings, bettering last season will be a challenge.
Another seven-win improvement? That's impossible, since they went 10-6 last year and there are only 16 games to play. Yes, unpredictability abounds in the NFL, but on the surface their schedule has the potential to be more difficult. And as good as Adrian Peterson is at running the ball, well, there's no precedent in league history for consecutive 2,000 seasons.
Plus, after sneaking up on some teams last year, the Vikings will surely be taken more seriously by their opponents this fall.
But so far, their progress remains on track.
No offseason arrests or trouble. No lingering injuries to key players. Everyone signed on time. That made coach Leslie Frazier happy as he arrived at training camp on Thursday.
