Ellen DeGeneres To Host 2014 Academy Awards
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A familiar face on WCCO's daytime television is heading for the Oscars.
Ellen DeGeneres will be hosting the 85th annual Academy Awards. She made the announcement today on her Twitter page.
It's official: I'm hosting the #Oscars! I'd like to thank @TheAcademy, my wife Portia and, oh dear, there goes the orchestra.

Producers of the award show said they were thrilled to have the comic and TV icon back as host.
Ellen earned an Emmy nomination after hosting the 2007 awards.
The 2014 Academy Awards will be broadcast live next March.
