Police: 1 Hurt After Car Hits School Bus In Chaska

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say one person suffered minor injuries after a car hit a school bus with children on board Friday morning in Chaska.

Police responded to the crash at about 10:30 a.m. on Highway 41 near Hudertmark Road. Authorities said a full size school bus carrying 14 children was heading southbound on Highway 41 when a car traveling westbound on Hundertmark Road ran a red light and hit the bus.

Police say nobody on the bus was hurt in the crash. The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries. The bus was disabled and Highway 41 was closed for a short time, but was back open to traffic by about 11 a.m.
