Two Charged With Murder In Mpls. Man's Death

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two men have been charged with murder for allegedly killing a Minneapolis man in March.

Anthony London Foresta, 34, of Cottage Grove, and Cinque Lamont Deville Turner, 25, of St. Paul, were each charged with one count of aiding and abetting second-degree murder and first-degree robbery charges, the Hennepin County Attorney's Office announced Thursday.

According to a criminal complaint, Foresta and Turner knocked on James Patterson's door in south Minneapolis and said they lived downstairs and that water was leaking into their apartment. When Patterson let them in, one of them pulled out a gun, and when Patterson's son wrestled with the gunman, the gun went off, fatally wounding Patterson.

Both Foresta and Turner fled the scene.

If convicted of both charges, Foresta and Turner face maximum penalties of 50 years in prison and/or a $17,500 fine.
