WCCO Viewers' Choice For Best Mini Golf: The Links At Dred Scott

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) -- Where's the best place in the state to hone in on your short game?

WCCO viewers picked The Links at Dred Scott in Bloomington as the best Minnesota has to offer for mini golf.

Matt Brickman took on 8-year-old Will, who's a master of gamesmanship. And it's no surprise Will got the completive edge considering who his grandfather is -- longtime Bloomington Kennedy Hockey Coach Jerry Peterson.

Jerry's partner at The Links is actually his longtime high school hockey rival former Burnsville coach Tom Osiecki.

"It gives us something to do -- keeps us a little younger," Jerry said. "We're a lot older, and Osiecki is a lot older than I am."

The two are big golfers and designed The Links to be challenging, without windmills, dinosaurs or any of the normal gimmicks.

With water or sand on practically every hole, there's just no room to take it easy on the opposition.

A round of golf at The Links at Dred Scott is $7 for adults, and $5 children.

Next week, it's about finding the best farmers market in Minnesota.
