Could You Run A 25-Yard Dash In Heels?

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Dozens of women and men will lace up their shoes and do a 25-yard dash to raise thousands of dollars for charity.

OK, so running a 25-yard dash sounds like no big deal, right? It's a little harder to do when you're wearing high heels.

Jason DeRusha and Mike Augustyniak strapped on some high heel shoes in anticipation of Wednesday night's Aegis Foundation's High Heel Dash. It's the fourth annual event.

The fundraiser supports programs for at-risk young people like runaways, the homeless, and those who need food.

Anyone who is still interested can run still. The dash starts at 6 p.m. at Nicollet Mall and 11th Street. There are separate divisions for men and women.

Angela Davis is the emcee for the event.

To see how DeRusha and Augustyniak fared in their heels, check out the video above.
