MNsure Outreach Forum Set For Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Oct. 1 open enrollment date is fast approaching for MNsure, the state's new online health insurance marketplace.

With that in mind, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network has organized a public forum for Thursday for so people can learn about how MNsure is planning to conduct outreach, especially to communities with the highest rates of health disparities and uninsured people.

Organizers say the forum will also include a discussion on the challenges and barriers to increasing health equity, and how MNsure may be able to help.  Speakers include Mario Vargas, senior outreach analyst for MNsure, and Matt Schafer of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.

The forum runs from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the U Garden Restaurant on University Avenue in southeast Minneapolis.
