Sheriff: Man, 78, Reported Missing In Burnett Co. (Wis.)

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Burnett County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to find a 78-year-old man in western Wisconsin who was reported missing on Saturday.

The sheriff's office received a report at about 8 a.m. Saturday that Ron (Ronnie) Sicard, a resident of a group home in Burnett County, had gone missing. The Burnett County Sheriff's Office started a search for Sicard with the help of six area fire departments and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

Authorities describe him as about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing about 220 pounds. The sheriff's office said he walks with a noticeable limp and has a cast or wrap on his right wrist. Anyone in the area of Johnson Lake or in the area of Jackson or Oakland Townships who may have had contact with him is asked to call the Burnett County Sheriff's Office at (715) 349-2128.

Authorities said they are not asking for volunteers in the search at this time.
