MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis is helping homeowners who lost trees to severe storms.

Thousands of trees were knocked down on June 21 when strong winds and heavy rain moved through the metro.

Now, homeowners who lost trees can order new ones for $25 a piece.

The City of Minneapolis has about 500 of the low-cost trees available.

They'll begin taking orders on Monday, Sept. 9, and homeowners can pick them up in late September.
