St. Cloud Cathedral quarterback Jeff Fasching threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns and ran for another score in the Crusaders’ 42-12 win over Mora on Friday. In the season’s first two games Fasching has completed 30 of 42 passes for 491 yards and six touchdowns while running for two scores.

On the same night that Jeff threw for 300 yards at Mora, his dad, Gary Fasching, picked up his first win as a collegiate head coach in St. John’s 17-14 victory at Wisconsin-River Falls.

Last spring Jeff Fasching was named to the Class 2A state baseball all-tournament team, leading Cathedral to a third-place finish. He was 9-0 as a pitcher and had a batting average of .408. Jeff has a 3.805 GPA and plans to play college baseball. He serves as a Peer Tutor at Cathedral High School, volunteers as a Special Friend for troubled youth at the St. Cloud Children’s Home, serves as a volunteer at Sacred Heart Parish and volunteers at Country Manor Nursing Home.
