Reward Offered For Info On Man Who Shot Infant, Pregnant Teen

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Minneapolis Police and Crime Stoppers are teaming up to catch the man responsible for shooting a 14-month-old girl and two teens, one of whom was pregnant.

According to police, the shootings happened on the early evening of August 20 on the 2900 block of Lyndale Avenue North in Minneapolis. MyKhalea Smith, 14 months old, Trenay Smith, 19 and Javar Smith, 17, were all on the porch of a residence when an unidentified man walked up and began shooting at them.

MyKhalea was shot near her shoulder, while Trenay and Javar were both shot in the leg. Trenay was pregnant at the time. All three victims are expected to make full recoveries.

The suspect is described as an African-American male, 17 to 21 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing khaki or blue shorts, a gray hoodie and a dark tan fishing hat.
