Workers Injured In Church Construction Collapse
NISSWA, Minn. (WCCO) -- Crews responded to a church in Nisswa after a collapse occurred while workers were constructing an addition.
Authorities said the collapse happened at the Timberwood Church on Highway 371 at about 7:15 a.m. Friday.
Nisswa's police and fire departments responded to the scene, along with the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department, the Pequot Police Department, and the Brainerd Fire Department.
Crews said that the rafters collapsed during construction of an addition for the church.
Several workers were hurt in the collapse, and taken to an area hospital. Their conditions were not immediately reported.
