Authorities ID Victim In Eden Prairie Murder-Suicide

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities have released the name of a woman who was killed in a murder-suicide earlier this month in Eden Prairie.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Anitra Rochelle Williams, 26 of Eden Prairie. She was one of two people that were found dead inside an apartment complex that forced the evacuation of that building for several hours on Sept. 21.

A resident of the Eden Place Apartments called 911 about 7 a.m. that day to report shots being fired in another unit. The Eden Prairie SWAT team and officers from other nearby suburban departments responded and surrounded the building.

Officers went door-to-door to evacuate all the 63 other units in the building as a precaution. Police later found Williams' body in the apartment and later used a robot from the Bloomington Bomb Squad to find a man's body.

The medical examiner said she died of multiple gunshot wounds and that her death was ruled a homicide.
