Police Release More Details On Eden Prairie Murder-Suicide
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A murder-suicide in Eden Prairie last month appears to be the result of a domestic dispute between two married individuals, police said in a press release Monday.
The murder-suicide happened on Sept. 21 at the Eden Place Apartments on 8680 Magnolia Trail. Eden Prairie Police said 29-year-old Derrick Williams shot and killed his wife, 26-year-old Anitra Williams, before taking his own life.
Police found their bodies after a neighbor reported hearing gunshots that morning. An autopsy showed that Anitra Williams suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Records indicate, police say, that officers responded to a verbal dispute between the two back in October of 2009.
The murder-suicide remains under investigation.
