Minn. Town To Highlight Bullying Prevention

BLUE EARTH, Minn. (AP) -- The southern Minnesota town of Blue Earth will become Orange Earth in support of October's National Bullying Prevention Month.

Orange is the designated color of bullying prevention. The 25-foot toga on the Green Giant statue in Blue Earth will turn orange Wednesday in support of bullying prevention.

Forty Student Council students from the Blue Earth School District will be on hand wearing orange to show their support.

Oct. 9 marks PACER's Unity Day, a day within National Bullying Prevention Month to send a message of hope to end bullying in all communities.

Blue Earth is encouraging residents to wear orange to mark Unity Day.
