Gopher Hockey Wins At Bemidji State, 6-3

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The University of Minnesota men's hockey team beat Bemidji State 6-3 in non-conference action Friday night to win its third straight game to start the season.

The Gophers (3-0) had six different players score in the game.  Sam Warning led the Gophers with his second three-point night of the season to move into the Big Ten scoring lead while Hudson Fasching, Connor Reilly, Justin Kloos and Taylor Cammarata had two points each.

Travis Boyd scored the Gophers first goal of the night to tie the game 1-1. Connor Reilly scored an empty net goal late in the third period to seal the victory, it was also his first collegiate goal.

Adam Wilcox improved to 3-0-0 on the year with the win on Friday, making 18 saves on 21 shots.

The Gophers face Bemidji State Saturday night to close out the weekend series.
