Tiedeman, Minn. GOP Veteran, Elected To RNC Post

BLAINE, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota's newest representative on the Republican National Committee is longtime activist Chris Tiedeman.

He was chosen Saturday at the state GOP's central committee meeting to one of the state's three slots on the national Republican Party governing panel.

Tiedeman, 37, started his GOP involvement as a College Republicans participant and has worked around several campaigns over the years. He replaces Jeff Johnson, who resigned his seat to run for Minnesota governor.

Tiedeman defeated college professor Terry Flowers for the position.
