Worker Injured In Fall From Bridge Near La Crosse (Wis.)

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a construction worker was hospitalized Wednesday after falling 40 to 50 feet from the Dresbach Bridge near the Minnesota-Wisconsin border.

Authorities received a call about the accident at about 9:05 a.m. A worker had fallen, but it was not clear if they fell from the bridge or a lower part around it. Emergency crews at the scene had to use boats and hoists to get to the victim, who was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Authorities said the extent of the worker's injuries is not known at this time. We'll have updates as they become available.
