MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police in Blaine say that a woman they believe robbed a TCF Bank last month has been apprehended in California.

The bank, which was located inside a Cub Foods along Central Avenue Northeast, was robbed on Oct. 23.

The bank teller told police that the suspect walked up to him and passed him a note that said, "give me the money!" She didn't display a weapon, but kept one of her arms concealed. He then opened his cash drawer, placed money and a dye pack inside a bag, and gave her the bag. She then left.

The bank teller reported that over $2,700 was given to Pearson.

Witnesses and surveillance provided enough of a description that investigators were able to identify her as Shawna Marie Pearson.

A warrant was issued for her arrest and she turned herself into authorities in the San Diego area.

She has been extradited back to Minnesota and has made an appearance in Anoka County District Court.

Pearson is currently being held on $30,000 bail.
