MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It’s something that can change a child’s life forever, and for one Twin Cities native, it’s a subject close to his heart.

Recording artist James Grear conducted a parenting seminar Saturday morning for National Adoption Day at the Hennepin County Health Services Building in downtown Minneapolis.

Some lucky kids also officially became part of a new family. Foster parent Daniel McKizzie welcomed his new daughters with a hug.

“It’s just been a joy to have the girls, and now to have them be officially our daughters, it’s just unbelievable,” McKizzie said. “Words can’t even describe.”
