Police: Driver Dies After Vehicle Collides With Train

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A driver died Wednesday after colliding with a train Wednesday in west-central Minnesota, authorities say.

The Morris Police Department says the driver was the only person in the car and that the crash happened just after 2 p.m. on West 5th Street, about 150 feet west of Atlantic Avenue.

Emergency crews brought the driver to Stevens Community Medical Center, where the individual was pronounced dead on arrival.

The driver's name is being withheld until the family is notified.

The crash is under investigation.

Morris is about 150 miles northwest of the Twin Cities.
