Weather Blog: Warming…To The Teens

I was just thinking how funny it must sound to someone visiting from the south. I pop on television with a big smile on my face excited to tell WCCO viewers that it will warm to the teens Thursday.

Woo hoo…yeehaw...jump for joy!

Yes, we get excited about little warm-ups around here. It has been zero or colder six of the past seven days. We even sank to minus 11 one morning. So, yes, the teens will feel wonderful.

It is quite possible that our highs will stay below average for the rest of the year. So enjoy these little samples of warmth. We do have a few shots at snow as these little disturbances ride down in the northwest flow. None of them really amount to much, but they could produce a few slick spots on the roads. There will be chances tonight, Friday and again on Monday.
