MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say an inattentive driver slammed into a trooper's squad Tuesday morning.

No one was injured in the crash but officers say it's a good reminder for all drivers to slow down and pay attention.

The accident happened on Interstate 94, near Melrose. Sgt. Jesse Grabow said he stopped to help a driver who slid into the cable median along the highway when a woman lost control and hit his squad. He was in the squad car at the time but said he's OK.

The woman that hit him was ticketed for inattentive driving.

They warn motorists, no matter the weather, to move over for flashing lights.

Sgt. Grabow tweeted about the incident -- the accident happened to his squad -- urging the importance of being aware of your surroundings and slowing down on the road.
