Omnifest Returns To Minn. Science Museum

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Science Museum of Minnesota will host one of its most popular features starting next month.

Omnifest 2014 opens Jan. 9 at the St. Paul museum's William L. McKnight-3M Omnitheater.

Five giant-screen films will run in rotation on the Omnitheater's 90-foot domed screen.

Included in this year's festival is "Ring of Fire," a Science Museum original production about the circle of volcanoes that rings the Pacific Ocean.

New to this year's festival is "Great White Shark." Other movies include "Blue Planet," which includes footage from five space shuttle missions; "Stomp's World Beat," which follows the stage show "Stomp" as it tours around the world; and "To the Limit," about the inner workings of the human body.

Tickets are now on sale. Omnifest runs through Feb. 28.
