ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds will compete next weekend in the Land O’Lakes Kennel Club Dog Show in St. Paul.

More than 2,000 purebred canines will vie for American Kennel Club awards at St. Paul RiverCentre from Jan. 3-5.

Obedience and Rally competitions will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In addition, more than 155 breeds of dogs will compete for “Best in Show.”

The Midwest Region Top Junior Handler competition will be held Saturday. Junior showmanship is for handlers under the age of 18 who live and compete in a 15-state region, including Minnesota.

The show also will feature more than 70 vendors showcasing dog supplies, collectibles and artwork.
