Police: Suspect Arrested In West St. Paul Pharmacy Robbery

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a man suspected in the robberies of West St. Paul pharmacies was arrested Tuesday after attempting to rob another pharmacy in the area.

Police were called to the Walgreen's on the 1100 block of South Robert Street at about 3:22 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a robbery in progress. While officers were responding, the suspect attempted to flee the scene in a vehicle. One officer was able to use his squad car to push the suspect's vehicle into a snowbank as he was trying to leave the parking lot.

The suspect surrendered immediately and was taken into custody without incident. Police identified him as 38-year-old Jason Lee Arden of Minneapolis. He was transported to the Dakota County Jail and is awaiting criminal charges.

Police believe he's connected to at least two other pharmacy robberies in West St. Paul that occurred over the past week.
